2020 GSA Awards – Virtual Ceremony on May 11th – Free Livestream
In 2020, the following institutions and individuals were honored with the GSA Awards:
Queensland Health, Australia
Sepsisfonden, Sweden
The African Research Collaboration on Sepsis (ARCS)
David Carlbom, United States
James Karugaba, Uganda
However, due to the current worldwide pandemic, they have never received the recognition they deserve - this virtual ceremony will change this, honor the awardees, and allow them to present their inspirational projects and initiatives.
The ceremony takes place on May 11th, 2021 from 14:00h to 15:00h Central European Summer Time, as a Zoom Webinar. Please click here to see the time in your time zone.
Participation is free for up the 500 people, no registration needed, and the event will be recorded and made available to rewatch at a later date.
Every year, the Global Sepsis Awards honor major contributions in the global fight against sepsis. They are exclusively sponsored by the Erin Kay Flatley Memorial Foundation and are granted in three categories:
Governments and Healthcare Authorities
Non-Governmental Organizations, Patient Advocate Groups, or Healthcare Provider Groups
Individual Nominees
Winners of categories 2 and 3 are awarded $2,500 each. Applications usually open in January and close on March 31st. Applications for the 2021 GSA Awards will open on May 11th (after the ceremony) and close on July 18th, 2021.
