BRETT ABBENBROEK

Brett Abbenbroek RN, ICU, BSc, MPH, PhD. Dr Abbenbroek is the Sepsis Australia and Asia Pacific Sepsis Alliance Program Manager within the Critical Care Division at The George Institute for Global Health and serves on the Global Sepsis Alliance Executive Board. He has over 35 years of experience working in clinical, education and management roles in critical care and emergency along with extensive international experience in establishing cardiac surgical and critical care services in China, Croatia, Indonesia, Nepal and Vanuatu. In his current role, Brett is responsible for driving implementation of the Australian Stopping Sepsis National Action Plan, the national Sepsis Clinical Care Standard for health services, and supporting efforts to reduce the burden of sepsis across the Asia-Pacific region.

Brett Abbenbroek RN, ICU, BSc, MPH, PhD. Dr. Abbenbroek ist Programm-Manager der Sepsis Australia and Asia Pacific Alliance innerhalb der Abteilung für Intensivpflege am George Institute for Global Health und ist Mitglied des Vorstands der Global Sepsis Alliance. Er verfügt über mehr als 35 Jahre Erfahrung in der klinischen Versorgung, in der Ausbildung und im Management in der Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin sowie über umfangreiche internationale Erfahrungen beim Aufbau von herzchirurgischen und Intensivpflegediensten in China, Kroatien, Indonesien, Nepal und Vanuatu. In seiner derzeitigen Funktion ist Brett für die Umsetzung des australischen nationalen Aktionsplans "Stopping Sepsis", des nationalen Standards für die klinische Sepsis-Pflege im Gesundheitswesen und für die Unterstützung der Bemühungen zur Verringerung der Sepsisbelastung in der gesamten asiatisch-pazifischen Region verantwortlich.
